How many charger should we install?
As a rule of thumb, planning for a minimum of 5% of the parking stalls is typical. If you are a hotel, planning a number equal to 10% of the rooms is recommended. There is a minimum of 6 chargers to install for our basic package. You can install 2 in each parking space if their are parking constraints.
How is pricing determined?
Part of our role at U.S. Charging is to help determine an maintain pricing. We monitor pricing levels in your area and help set the pricing to meet the goals of both the users and the property owner. If you are a multi-family dwelling that is looking to cover costs, we will determine a fair "cost" for the power to reimburse the building owner and add the U.S. Charging fee. If you are a hotel looking to make a profit from these chargers, we will survey the chargers in the area and set the pricing at a retail level that is similar.
What is the cost for installation?
Cost for installations vary widely. We recommend installing chargers as close to the main power supply at your building to keep costs as low as possible. In some cases, power may need to be upgraded. Part of our role at U.S. Charging is to help design a system that most efficiently utilizes the power your have. Our system can share a single power feed utilizing the technology within the chargers themselves allowing up to 6 chargers on a single circuit. For budgetary purposes, we recommend planning to spend on average $2,500 per charger for the installation.
